Don't you just love that song? It makes me smile whenever I hear it. Last night, Alex and I went to Christmas dinner at his aunt and uncles. His cousin (and now my cousin, too!), Meghan, is a fantastic baker. She and her daughter Sophia made these adorable little reindeer/Rudolph cookies. Aren't they just the cutest?
Ingredients:
Tube of gingerbread dough
Mini-pretzels
Maraschino cherries, sliced in half
Chocolate chips
Instructions:
Shape the roll of dough into a long triangle shape with your hands. Slice as you would normally, and then decorate with the other ingredients. Each pretzel is an ear, chocolate chips are eyes and a cherry half is Rudolph's nose! Bake according to directions.
Just keep the reindeer away from Grandma...
